Hello lovelies,
I can’t believe it’s October already!
Where did the Summer go to? I feel like I blinked and the summer came and went.
It was pretty full on for us with our wedding in July and moving house in the same month! Just put 2 of the most stressful events into the same month – yes I used a lot of calming essentials oils. The good news is that we love our new home, we are now unpacked and married life is serving us well – my hubby and blended family are amazing!
One thing I really wanted to share with you all from the summer though, was my fabulous trip to Singapore. It was a dual purpose trip. My best friend is living out there and so seeing her was my main reason. BFF’s have to be there for each other.
It is, however, also a country that I haven’t been to before and somewhere that Mandala Essentials is expanding out into now.
So here’s a little about Singapore:
It’s an island just off the southern tip of Malaysia and it’s small. It’s more like a city than a country. In fact I got from one side to the other in less than an hour.
There are approx. 5.8 million people living there and over 1 million are expats. It’s a very multicultural country with a mix of Chinese, Malaysians, Ethnic Indians and then a mix of the rest of the globe. The main industries are IT, marketing and finance.
There is a mix of jungle and tropical climates with manmade beaches and over the top architecture. It’s super clean. Chewing gum is illegal and there are hefty fines for taking stinky Durian fruits on public transport.
Alcohol is super expensive… I’m talking $30 for a cheap bottle of wine.
And for all you Brits! They have many Marks and Spencers out there.
So what did we do while visiting Singapore?
We fed rhinos, visited the botanical garden, checked out Orchard Lane and Sentosa, went to the water park, explored, then explored some more, did buses, taxis, trains, went to a tea ceremony, tried lots of amazing vegan food and of course visited doTERRA Singapore head office!
The ladies at the doTERRA head office were so lovely! You can attend classes there, pick up products and get help with all your oily needs.
So what can you expect from us at Mandala Essentials?
I’m excited to tell you that we will be back in Singapore in February 2020 and we are working on some new essential oil and aromatherapy workshops. In the meantime if you are in Singapore or indeed Asia and you would like to know more about essential oils or purchase any, we have you covered. Get in contact with us.
Smiles,
Lou
